[He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, smiling up at Berri. Kazooie was his best friend, but she could be extremely nosey, and took great delight in teasing him. He didn't want to give her any more fodder for that.
He trusted Berri to help him figure this out, though, and he had an open mind and was ready to learn.]
How're you doing? [he asked politely when she let him in.]
no subject
You know, if she would then maybe she should come next time. That way you could, like, totally show off and set an example.
[Berri shut the door and made her way to the space she set up for this little meet before answering him.]
Oh, y'know, the usual.
Except, like, today I decided to have a blueberry smoothie instead of a strawberry cuz...y'know, living on the edge.
[Joking. Completely. It was just an exasperated way of saying literally nothing was new lately.]
no subject
[It was probably true. Kazooie wasn't the type to willingly make a fool of herself, or even look like she was making a fool of herself. Banjo didn't have that problem. He just had every girl he was a friend with try to tease him.]
Long as it was tasty! That's what I say.
I didn't know what I should bring over today for this... I did bring some track shorts, but that's about it.
no subject
[Berri chuckled as she started to get into position and stretch. She was raring to get into this fast. Oh Banjo, she's got this covered.]
Water, healthy snacks, all that stuff in the kitch, sugar. All you need is the 'tude and the moves, hopefully.
You're not gonna get ripped tomorrow or anything but yoga's, like, a start, y'know?
no subject
[He laughed at the thought. It was probably never gonna happen, but hey, Banjo had seen crazier things.]
I know it won't be that quick, but I'm ready to learn if you're ready to teach!
[He punctuated that thought by punching his fist into his palm.]
no subject
[She meant that in the best possible way.]
You just need to try to keep up, 'kay?
no subject
I'll do my best, teach! How do we start? What should I do?
[He took off his backpack to settle in a bit and rolled his shoulders to limber up.]
no subject
And you gotta stretch everything.
no subject
Okay, so... How do I do that?
no subject
[More teasing. She took a deep breath.]
Alright, breathe in. And out. Make your body relax real good, 'kay?
no subject
[He stood next to her, watching her for a moment and then trying to mirror her, taking in a deep breath, trying to will himself to relax. It wasn't something he was used to doing, but he tried his best.]
Like this?
no subject
[She twisted herself right to left, beginning stages were always like this, Banjo.]
Make sure you're relaxed, don't want you to break anything, sweetie.
Dat ass (icon)
I don't wanna break anything either... How long have you been doing yoga anyway? Seems like it's been for as long as I've known you at least, and we've been friends like forever.
I have also boobs (i'm so mature)
[Berri wasn't into the spiritual thing so she was a little sarcastic there.]
In all total seriousness, it just is relaxing and junk.
And they're lovely (polygonal) boobs
[Banjo stopped twisting when it became obvious that he wasn't going to get any more range of motion out of it.]
But that's good. I play video games a lot to unwind, so everyone's got their own thing.
no subject
Hon, I'm only so chill when I'm doing yoga. When you deal with Conker and his shenanigans, I swear you can get, like, ten heart attacks if you're aren't careful.
no subject
Tell me about it... He is so lucky to have you for a girlfriend, I just hope he realizes that. You're the best. But I guess everyone has their own way of dealing with shenanigans like that.
no subject
S-silly bear. Better say something, she thought.]
Just comes with the territory, is all. I think we can give stretches a rest now though.
Ready for some of that real yoga, bear?
no subject
I completely get it. Phew... Great. I think I'm ready for some real yoga, so what do I do first?
no subject
[Berri went to her radio and started fiddling with her phone. She hooked it to the stereo and suddenly a relaxing playlist started up.]
Just needed to set up that calming atmosphere and what not.
no subject
You've gotta have the right relaxing mood, for sure.
[He stood with her, eyes on her, waiting for her to tell him what to do with that happy look on his face.]
no subject
Let's see. She had to think positive.]
Get into position, like so-
[This would be easy, she breathed in from her stomach. A long deep breath. Quietly, she exhaled.]
Get into the zone, breathe in and out.
no subject
Like this?
[He mirrored her pose, and started to breathe in deep through his nose.]
no subject
Good, good.
Now, follow me. We're gonna do something called a "half moon".
Just take those arms and--
[She started moving.]
no subject
Okay... Half moon.
[He raised his arms, watching her move for a moment--and finding himself more than a little mesmerized by her flexibility and figure--before he tried to move in the same manner. His lack of flexibility was obvious, and he lost his balance a couple of times along the way, but he did his best.]
