[It was a particular slow day at the cafe, Garry had just finished cleaning off some tables. While waiting or busing wasn't really his job, he kind of picked up where he thought he was needed. There were no deliveries, so Garry felt like there was more use doing other tasks around the bend.

But, there were also no customers today.

Garry sat down behind the pastry counter and just found himself sketching. Mostly he was just sketching wares the Honeybee chefs put out. So there were lots of cakes and other things he staring drawing. He had a small cup of coffee himself that he occasionally went to sip. But he was quiet, in his own world.]

I DON'T KNOW, WHAT A MYSTERY!!!

[Vietnam usually liked to keep busy, but when nothing is happening, tasks get finished faster than usual. She's finished looking through the accounts, finished delegating, checking on stock... and the cafe itself had been cleaned up. Well, she wasn't going to complain when it comes to catching a break.

She stretches as she walks around, contemplating going to the staff room to watch some television, when she notices Garry sitting by the pastry counter and sketching. Time to take a detour: she moves over to stand beside him, watching him draw. Vietnam says nothing, because she doesn't want to interrupt him while he's in his creative zone. Besides, it's still nice to just quietly watch a man do what he does best.]

[It was silly, because Garry was sitting there for a few moments not even aware Vietnam was even there watching.

He really then just looked up to take a look at another pastry to start a new page when he noticed a figure in the glass. A figure that may have been standing there longer than anticipated before actually being noticed. It was so that no matter who it was, it would cause Garry to jump and squeak a little. Dropping his pencil on the ground. Oops.]

[She's unsurprised that he was shocked, she really didn't make her presence known. And she's small! It's easy to miss her. She moves over to pick up his dropped pencil, holding it out and offering it back to him.]

A-ah, I'm sorry for startling you, I just didn't want to interrupt.

[Garry still felt a little guilty because he was silly and fickle that way. He knew he had a tendency to be jumpy, so it came second nature to make it more like he was the one with the issue and no one else.

Part of him wants to feel justified considering, but when it's his loved ones...he couldn't excuse it.

He gently picked up the pencil, bashfully. His cheeks even showing a shade of pink.]

O-oh, no, no no no. Don't be sorry, I was just drifting I suppose.

[It's all good, at least that's how she feels. It's not Garry unless he's jumping in fright somehow. As long as he's not completely frightened by her (she knows she also has borderline bitchy resting face, shhh).

She shakes her head after he takes back the pencil.] I like watching you draw, so it is fine to drift. It is not like we have anything to do.

[His face was still pink but he was a little calmer. He looked to her and nodded in response to her shaking of the head.]

Well...thank you.

[He chuckled before he actually decided to close his sketchbook.]

I wasn't sure if I should even be doing this right now but it did seem like everyone ran out of things to do. The place is clean, everyone is going about busy work at the very most.

In a way, it's peaceful. When it's peaceful, I get all creative. It's a curse, aha.
