How it works:
a) Your dude plus my dude. Put these two characters in the subject line.
b) Together, we plot a scenario. What kind? Any kind! AU. Off-screen in game. General. Anything. If you have any idea at all, feel free to contact me and we can make it work!
c) ???
d) Profit.

Daria stood a little closer, if only so communication could be a little better.]
Look, it's just like with the med kit. I know you have a certain set of morals different from mine. It comes with the territory. My greatest concerns for the moment are being able to get out of bed and stay sane after listening to my sister every day.
You are a hardened mercenary who has to live off how large your body count is and hope your employer isn't cranky enough that you have extra work to do. We're from two different worlds and I don't want you to feel like you have to bend anything because we're different.
I get it, I understand.
It might be hard to believe but I honestly just want you comfortable around me. I trust you and I honestly can't imagine Erron Black to be any less of an egotistical ass.
[Daria was always honest with her feelings, no matter how blunt they were.]
no subject
You called me an ass.
[ He grins. ]
I'm doin' something right then.
no subject
I thought that was your life goal. Or one of them. Next to having boatloads of cash.
no subject
[ He shrugs, talking plainly as he looks Daria straight in the eye. ]
But that ain't here nor there. And I reckon I'll be here nor there for a good few hundred years more. So in that time, I'm going to have my fun, kill some jackasses and occasionally find a pretty gal and conversation partner.
no subject
Well, I'm all for owning land to be all by myself. Having a boomstick so the damn kids didn't get on your property. Sounds like the good life to strive for.
[A few hundred years huh...and maybe Erron would look the exact same. She maybe still had the smallest smile on her face.]
Hopefully in that far in future you can still tell me about it at my tombstone. I'm sure my old decayed skeleton would love to hear about that last job that got you there. I hear the dead still make good conversation.
no subject
He may have been in Outworld way too long because people generally don't die unless they're killed, and most of them are pretty good at avoiding getting killed.
Whatever. This is too much thinking for him and Erron rubs his head with a hand, trying to mitigate the headache. ]
Well that was an emotional ballache.
no subject
At this point, it was anyone's guess how she was going to go. If she was going to live to be an old lady, Erron would still be the same. He probably would.
Daria was morbid by nature, quite a bit. She went too far though this time, she knew now. She picked up the flask from the ground and handed it to him. Just in case, you know.]
Perk of my own mortality. If I lived to be a thousand, I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I'm mostly content with reading and writing, then eating and sleeping.
no subject
Still an emotional ballache, darlin'.
no subject
Maybe she was touched that hers wasn't a light joke to him.
She was really touched actually.]
Hrm...sorry. I don't have much of a filter for my own morbid sense of humor.
no subject
[ says Erron after he drinks another sip from his flask, closes it and is making himself comfortable with the ground.
As in, he's two seconds from lying face first in the ground because this conversation went from great to terrible to hot to great and now doom and gloom. ]
no subject
[She felt...terrible, actually. Way to go, Morgendorffer. You did it again, you charmer, you.
She felt a tug inside. She really needed to make an effort to fix this. In a different way, this time. This time she really needed to think more of his feelings than hers.]
I'm a bitch, but I like you. So let me help make it up to you, that hopefully doesn't involve me having to carry you through the desert.
[To a motel. Or whatever the equivalent of Outworld motels are. Or not run in Kotal Khan. How would she explain that?
Hello, Lost Pet Services...
Also, she liked him. Fuck you, don't repeat that.]
no subject
[ This is clearly a foreign concept to Erron, as she continues laying on the ground, holding the flask in his hand and craning his head up to look at Daria. ]
no subject
I don't know. Make you feel better?
no subject
[ A beat. ]
Lay it on me then.
[ He gestures with a wave of his hand. ]
no subject
She was just worried this one would smell like booze.
She sat next to him on the ground.]
You cowboys have simple needs. I'll be an expert at this by the end of the day.
[No extortion on her part, though. She reached up with her neck and gave him another smooch. Looked like she was actually working to make this work out okay. Call the squad, Daria was making an effort. Her parents would be proud, and unholy pissed at the same time. Quinn though, if Quinn ever found out...she secretly hoped she could be a little jealous.]
no subject
Oh he was so screwed because that actually felt nice and he felt giddy in the pit of his stomach. ]
Errr. Um, well. That's good. I like that.
[ he was already kicking himself mentally ]
no subject
Daria knew this was bad news, but maybe she truly didn't give a shit anymore.
She had a weird flutter in her stomach and she noticed the sun waning. She got her backback and looked at the clock on her phone.
Crap.
It was late. She had fun, or something. Something akin to fun.]
...Well, um, I had a good time. But I should...get going on back to old Lawndale. As much as I don't want to. But I think my folks might wonder why I'm home late. Actually ask me some questions too.
[She had a promise to keep, a promise to not throw any suspicion her way she was even here. As far as her family was concerned, she was never here. She knew no hardened cowboy, that she ended up kissing and liking it.]
no subject
[ Erron's gonna get to his feet, a little wobbly but he gets there. ]
Take you to the portal. It ain't far.
[ this is his equivalent of taking a girl to her front porch okay. Erron reaches for his mask and slowly straps it back on him, a little fumbling as he may have drank a bit too much. Thank god he didn't need to shoot anything and that he's still got his Tarkatan blade with him. ]
You got your stuff?
no subject
Why did she give him back that flask again?
But she couldn't admit to not wanting to leave alone either. If she knew her way, and if she could trust Erron himself to get home okay...
She nodded in response to having all her stuff together but continued on.]
You're a mess, pardner. You don't have to walk me all the way back. Being with me today was an indirect promise to Emperor Mayan Enthusiast you'd get back in one piece.
[Even though she never met him, she indirectly promised. That was how she saw it.]
no subject
Hey, I'm a gentleman. I'm walking you back to the goddamn portal.
no subject
Speaking of indirect promises, I'm also indirectly responsible for you heading on back late and drunk. I can't handle the thought of you getting grounded.
[It was a...employer joke.]
no subject
[ Just adjusting his hat now and starts taking some strides in the direction of that glowing portal in the distance. ]
And the Emperor is my employer, not my guardian.
no subject
[So why on earth did she take that spear of hers that Erron so generously let her borrow and grip it tightly?
She hated going through that town, maybe that was it.
And now her escort was drunk and who knew what could happen? Probably nothing, and she was worried over nothing.
Hoping on that too, and Daria wasn't much into optimistic hoping. Man if she would ever come back, she had to get over that insecurity.
You know, if Erron even invited her back after today. Who the hell knew?]
no subject
A cowboy is always a dead shot. Quite literally. He's gonna keep an eye out for Daria as they pass through, and everyone gives them a wide berth anyway. ]
You gonna have that "lasagna" stuff after eating here?
no subject
She darted her eyes out of some slight caution around her. No one bothered them, not one.
Awesome. Maybe it was the Emperor relation perk.
Looked like Erron just needed to walk it off. What a real cowboy. good lord. And small talk was nice, it was really nice. It got her mind off of everything for the moment. Erron gave an effort, she should too.]
I couldn't eat that much.
[Shrug.]
So nah, I'll just tell my folks I'm not all that hungry. I got a short story to finish. Hoping the walk back can get me an idea.
[She looked at all of the vendors, at all of the various goods they were selling. Clothing, jewelry, the place did seem alive from activity. It was too much lively activity for Daria. But Jane might have fun with all of the colors and get creative herself.]
I've had enough excitement for today anyway, I'd be ready to crawl into a calm state when I got back.
